Caroline Rakus-Wojciechowski

Caroline Rakus-Wojciechowski is a social entrepreneur and young professional in international education development with more than seven years of interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral experience in public speaking, research, gender equality, youth empowerment, educational inclusion and well-being, cross-cultural competencies, education in emergencies, and sustainable development. Currently, she is the Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist at MapWorks Learning and is a published author on refugee educational inclusion in the DC - Maryland - Virginia area. Caroline’s work extends across four continents, and she is fluent in English, Polish, and Spanish. She has been a youth ambassador to conferences held by the United Nations Association, World Bank, UNESCO, International Organization for Migration, UN-Habitat, ECOSOC, IUCN, NATO, and the Munich Security Conference Foundation, where she delivered policy recommendations. She has also presented at various academic conferences on experiential learning, refugee educational inclusion, and monitoring and evaluation methods in research, such as the Washington Consortium Student Research, the Comparative and International Education Society, and the Rockefeller Institute on Immigrant Integration Research & Policy Conferences, respectively. Caroline previously worked for organizations such as UNESCO, Coalescion, Q-Q Research Consultants, EnCompass LLC, Global Policy Insights, and BlueRidge Impact Consulting and served in a leadership capacity in the Youth Sustainability Development Network in Nigeria and the Refugee Educational Advancement Laboratory. Caroline holds an M.A. in International Education from the George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development and a B.A. in Anthropology from Harvard College, where she also completed the pre-medical track. After several years as a keynote speaker and mentor for the Empowered Sapiens Mulier Initiative, she is thrilled to join the ESMI family as a board member.
